Martin Luther King Jr.

I am posting this a bit late but it is still Martin Luther King day!  It’s been a very busy MLK day today but still wanted to acknowledge the day.  I think it’s amazing how far our country has come in the last 50 years.  I also think it’s worth noting how far we still have to go.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Where do you see injustice?  In our hallways?  In your neighborhood?  What can you do about what you see?

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Are you willing to speak up?  To stand up to a bully? Are you willing to give your time to a cause greater than yourself?

An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

I encourage you to educate yourself about what is going on in your school, in your neighborhood, in your city, your state, your country and your world.

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

Martin Luther King Jr.

You are the future.  Continue his legacy.
